The Mount Pleasant Fire Department in conjunction with the Boy Scouts of America has established an Explorer Post within the Fire Department.
These children, age 14 to 21, provide a vital role at emergency scenes. All Explorers are CPR certified. They usually maintain rehabilitation sites, set up outside lighting, and perform other fire ground activities during fire emergencies.
